The Foundation will activate its online application portal immediately following an official State of Emergency declaration issued by the State of Florida or a local municipal authority within Broward, Palm Beach, or St. Lucie Counties.

The Disaster Relief Grant provides up to $1,000 in financial assistance to help address urgent, disaster-related expenses that create immediate hardship for residents. Funds are intended to support essential needs resulting directly from the declared emergency and may be applied toward temporary housing costs, emergency home repairs, replacement of critical household items, utilities, food, transportation, or other necessary recovery expenses.
Each request is reviewed individually to ensure the assistance aligns with the documented disaster impact and the Foundation’s available funding. While the grant is not designed to cover full reconstruction or long-term rebuilding, it is intended to provide meaningful, short-term financial relief that helps individuals and families stabilize and begin recovery.

To ensure a timely and accurate review of your request, applicants must provide documentation verifying identity, residency, and disaster-related impact. This includes clear photos showing documented damage, a valid government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, and proof of ownership or occupancy of the affected dwelling.
Applicants will also be asked to provide a detailed description of the damage to their home or personal property, along with current contact information. This includes a working phone number, the address of the damaged property, and, if different, a current mailing address. Providing complete and accurate information helps the Foundation review applications efficiently and distribute assistance as quickly as possible.
